Compost Your Tree

Starting Friday January 9, 2026, a large bin will be dropped off for Hawthorn Metro District at the end of Eldora St. and 60th. If you have a live tree, garland, or wreaths, please compost. It will be picked up on Monday morning and is not for any other composting or disposal needs.

Regular composting can be dropped off in the waste bin by the soccer fields, code is 402.
